Personal Essay 1

Write an essay in which you tell us about someone who has made an impact on your life and explain how and why this person is important to you.

B

Personal Essay 2

Choose an issue of importance to you—the issue could be personal, school related, local, political, or international in scope—and write an essay in which you explain the significance of that issue to yourself, your family, your community, or your generation.

~~~
Now, these seem like classical, tell-me-your-life-story essay prompts - and they are.
However, essay readers go through that sort of crap hundreds at a time, day in and day out.
I want you to come up with creative subjects for the essays - that and nothing more. If you come up with a good subject, I can make an appropriate style and write it well.
For example: One friend wrote about how the reader of the essay would impact his life by letting him get into the college of his choice, and for the second one, wrote about how inflation and the reminting of pennies that go along with inflation, and how pennies cost 1.4 cents to make (.9 cents of copper, .5 cents production cost), we would eventually get rid of the penny, and as the penny has Abe Lincoln on it, it's a conspiracy by white corporate america ('The Man';) to destroy Lincoln's legacy.
Creative ideas like that. Go Go Brainstorming!
